Zoo Day #5

Evan had a day off from school and Trey is done with preschool so off to the zoo we went. It was slightly more crowded than most days considering it was Memorial Day but not overly crowded. Thus a good zoo day! The sloth was out again. I really like this animal!

The weather was warm so the boys(along with the Borland boys)enjoyed splashing in the cool water!

And here are other zoo pics I thought were cute!

End Of Year Splash

Trey had his end of year splash party at preschool on Thursday. I am not sure who had more fun....Amy and myself or Trey and Ewan. As you can see we are pretty wet. I blame it all on those pesky little 5 year olds. They are ruthless with water guns.

Trey seemed to have so much fun with the water slide. It was hard getting him off. He loves flopping, sliding and jumping.

Trey Says GoodBye

Trey had his end of the year preschool program on Monday night. He is saying goodbye to preschool and his two teachers, Ms. Kathy and Ms. Maria. It was a sad but happy event. Trey is sad because he is unsure of the unknown. He loves his school and does not want to leave his friends. I know he will love kindergarten but until he actually goes my little boy will not be a happy camper. I am thrilled for my baby to be moving ahead in life. He has so much ahead of him for the next year and I am excited for him to experience it all. But sad my baby if growing up.

Trey and his friend Ewan made their preschool teachers a special plaque as a end of the year gift. It was a zoo and rain forest made up entirely of their fingerprints.

She's In The Drivers Seat.....

Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. That is Haley is the drivers seat. She is now an official learners permit gal! I am excited for her. I can't wait to drive with her.

Mother's Day MayFaire

I love Mother's Day! This is the day my entire family goes to the art festival in Lakeland called the MayFaire. This has been a family tradition for many years now. It is always a deadly hot day but we forget that every year until we go again. I have collected many art pieces from the MayFaire. Next time you are at my house look around and view them. Many artist come back to the MayFaire year after year. My boys were able to see a few of the art pieces we have around the house displayed at different artists booths. Evan and Trey enjoyed having art appreciation conversations with Aunt Leslie.

One of the areas at the MayFaire is the children's art tent. There are about four different art stations set up for the children to create masterpieces.

There was plenty of rest and snack time along the way. That is a bonus of attending the art show......kettle corn, "real" lemonade, ice treats and more!

After walking around the art show we relaxed in the shade by the library and listened to some live musical entertainment.

The boys got plenty of attention and love by family members.

Oh and last but certainly not least....Leslie got to enjoy the wonderful amenities the art show provides for free........port-a-potties!

BlueBerry Picking

On Wednesday Zane and I went blueberry picking with my moms group. My friend Kandee's uncle has a blueberry farm. I have never picked blueberries before. It was a lot of fun. Zane and his friends seemed to enjoy the morning.

It's tiring eating all those blueberries!

Disney With Friends

Friday was a day off from school for the boys. So we decided to venture to Disney without daddy. A friend of ours decided she would help us brave the Magic Kingdom land. The park was not crowded at all. It was a fun day.

Evan is the last kid on the end in a blue shirt!

Ride Daddy Ride!

Once again it was a busy weekend for the Hydock clan. I want to give each event it's due space time on my blog so I will trek backwards for the next couple of days and give an account of the weekend events.

Today we skipped church(I know very bad....slap my hand) to see DH finish a bike race. DH has been riding in events for a few months and the boys and I have yet to see him ride. Since we were free and clear of church volunteering today I thought this was a good opportunity. The ride(not a race!) was in Venice at Sharky's On The Pier. The ride was called "Ride The Beaches Fun Ride" with proceeds to go to Livestrong - The Lance Armstrong Foundation. DH got up very early and headed out before us. The boys and I followed along at a more decent hour and waited for daddy to finish.

Venice Beach was beautiful. I have never been there before. We walked on the fishing pier. The smell of the ocean along with fishing and such brought back many fond memories of my childhood in Fort Pierce with my grandparents. The Pier at Venice Beach

The boys played on the beach. Evan ventured in the water.

Trey was happpy to be a sideline observer.

Zane was eager for the water but hesitant to actually go in.
